Rather than a passive vacuum or a simple absence of energy, Discord functions as an aggressive contaminant that systematically dismantles the inherent equilibrium, harmony, and structural stability of both the physical environment and the human psyche.
To those utilizing Chaos-enhanced vision, Discord appears as an oily, roiling cloud of dark smog that actively repels human sight, causing an observer's eyes to strain and water under prolonged focus. It systematically bleeds the structural vibrance out of organic matter, leaving healthy green trees looking dull, listless, and unnaturally brownish while making the ambient air feel instantly stale and frigid.
Discord acts directly upon human emotion to dissolve normal social boundaries and internal restraints. Wherever a pocket of Discordant energy spikes, it systematically accelerates psychological deterioration, triggering unprovoked screaming matches, severe altercations, and ambient hostility among ordinary crowds who are entirely oblivious to the force acting upon them.
