Temple Bastion is the ancient, isolated mountain fortress and sovereign headquarters of the Bastionic Lodge, situated deep within the rugged peaks of Beacon Hill. Serving as the ancestral sanctuary for five distinct sects — the Rangers, Luminaires, Sentries, Artificers, and Gatekeepers — the stronghold functions as a stark traditionalist counter-weight to the tech-driven cities of the plains, dedicated to preserving the absolute purity of Chaos.
Built directly out of the mountain bedrock, the fortress is characterized by sheer, jagged stone architecture, steep sloped roofs meeting at high pinnacles, and dirt-floored earthen passages. The infrastructure is intentionally spartan; trainees reside in drafty, wooden shanty barracks that look out over sweeping, forested hills and distant snow-capped mountains.
The grand, open-air central administrative hub of the fortress — the symbolic heart of Lodge governance and the site of major public declarations.
A massive, tiered theater lit by dancing orbs of light. The outer benches accommodate the general Master ranks, leading down to a circular mosaic floor depicting the mythological war between Ae'ther and Bealthamon. Above this target floor sit the elevated stone benches of the four Grand Masters and the five ancient Elders.
A massive hall lined with tall, swooping crystal-patterned arches — the primary site for martial conditioning, weapon drills, and combat assessment of Lodge aspirants.
Roughly hewn, damp stone tunnels beneath the fortress. Deep within these caverns are roped-off alcoves housing massive stone rings filled with a swirling, inviting fog — raw, localized Voidgates that allow the specialized Gatekeeper sect to bridge space and guide practitioners directly through the spatial nothingness of the abyss.
Drafty wooden shanty barracks housing trainees, overlooking forested hills and snow-capped mountains. The physical gates are monitored by Sentries who acknowledge high-ranking warriors with grave, shadowed salutes.
Temple Bastion is revered by its occupants as the last true line of defense against the rising corruption of Discord and the outbreak of Blightborn beasts. Its residents hold a deep cultural disdain for civilian technology and modern convenience, prioritizing absolute martial discipline, weapon mastery, and strict spiritual vows. To the civilian populace and urban Channelers of Capitol City, the fortress carries an ominous, near-mythological reputation. The city elite frequently brand the peak's residents as unrefined savages or "Shadow-souled" monsters, keeping their distance from the severe, heavily armored Sentries who guard the physical perimeters of the Lodge's territories.
